We have seen and done it all, and are more than willing to share our formula for success with you.
EASY ACCESS, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME
With TEAM DJ, planning your wedding is simple with our online planner. Of course, our staff is just a phone call or email away to answer your questions. Together, we create the wedding reception that you want.
Your DJ will meet with you in person (or via phone or skype, if ‘in person’ proves impractical), and go through the final plan with you about a month before your big day, making sure that everything is set and ready to go, and answering any remaining questions in the process.
On the “day of”, your DJ will arrive early to set up and make sure everything is ready to go on-time. You are now the Guest of Honor, and your DJ keeps the event flowing, making sure everyone is having fun so you don’t have to worry about what is happening next.

What is the process?
Once you’ve booked with TEAM DJ, you receive an access code to our online tool suite, and a DJ is assigned to your event.
Between booking and your event, you can use our Online Planning Tools to fill out as much of the schedule as you like.
About 30-40 days before your event, your DJ will make contact with you, and set up a meeting/planning session. This is a one on one meeting with your DJ, and should take about an hour, more or less. At this meeting, your DJ will review your schedule, planning guide, and request list, and make sure all your questions are answered and any blanks are filled in.
After that, you can leave it to us.
On the day of the event, we’ll be on site about an hour to ninety minutes in advance to allow plenty of time for unloading and set up of equipment.
Naturally, the set up and tear down time is on US, you are only paying for music and entertainment.
What happens at the party?
Once things start out, your DJ will work with the venue and other vendors (such as photographers and videographers) to make certain everyone is working from the same schedule (yours).
Unless otherwise requested, your DJ will serve as MC, taking care of all announcements, introductions and directions to the guests.
We’ll work from your playlist, or take requests, or work the crowd (or some combination thereof), depending on how you’d like your party to be run.
At the end of the night, we’ll send you off with a last round of applause for your last dance of the night.
whose party is it?
Remember, it’s your party. Any time you (the bride or the groom) want or need anything from us – announcements, requests, whatever – all you have to to do is ask!
How many years of professional experience do you have?
TEAM DJ started in 1998. Some of our DJ’s have been around for the whole run, and THEY train the newer associates to make sure your reception is fantastic. You will always get an experienced DJ who can handle any situation with TEAM DJ.
Will you assist us in pre-planning our reception?
Our phone lines are always open to you. If you have a question, we are always here to assist you. It can be a DJ question, or a question on any of our other services. We have a lot of knowledge to share with you.
Can we meet our DJ before the event?
You will meet with your DJ approximately one month before your event to cover all of the details of your wedding reception. If it’s more convenient for you, skype, facetime, and phone meetings are also an option. If you would like to meet a DJ before you book, we can make that happen for you also.
Does the DJ make all the announcements?
Your DJ will make all the announcements from the Grand Entrance up to the Final Goodbye. Also, they will keep track of the time schedule, keep the photographer and videographer informed of all the events, take requests from the guests, and make sure the bride and Groom are the center of attention all night long!
Do you have a variety of music?
Our song list has over 70,000 selections to get you started. You can see it here. Our online tools make it easy for you to make your personalized song list. Also if a song does not show on the list there is a custom song button to add it to your list and we will get it for you! You can choose as many songs as you like. Also, you can have the DJ take requests from the guests.
What should I play during…
It’s probably the first time you’ve done this, so there are bound to be some questions, especially when speaking of things like, processionals, recessionals, cake cut, bouquet toss, and so forth.
Fortunately, we can give you access to a great little app that is synced into our music database. It’ll show the top songs in any number of categories, from ’special songs’ to top songs of the decades. You can find it here:
Can we bring our own music?
Absolutely. Flash drives (USB) are probably the best option, but any phone with a standard headphone jack can be plugged right in!
Can you provide music for the ceremony, also?
Yes. We provide music for ceremonies all the time. We also can help with the sound system and lavalier microphone, seen here on our ’Equipment’ page.
Will the DJ be properly dressed for the occasion?
Definitely. We always check with our clients to be certain of the ’dress code’. Anything from business casual, to suit, to tuxedo (no extra charge for formal wear)
Do you use professional equipment?
Yes, we do. There is a difference between home audio equipment and the professional equipment that we use at the shows. Our equipment is made for the road, day in and day out. Check out pictures here.
Can we control the volume at the event?
Yes. If at any time you would like us to raise or lower the volume, it would be our pleasure to do so.
Will our DJ be there on time?
Our DJ’s arrive at least an hour before an event’s scheduled "start time," to allow plenty of time to set up. Setting up and taking down the equipment is included in the cost of the evening. Your DJ will also stay as long as you like, if the party is going to go past the scheduled "end time," for the same hourly rate.
Does the DJ take any breaks?
No.
What are your rates?

Our standard deposit is $200.00. Once we receive the deposit and signed contract you are booked and we will send you a receipt. The balance is due just two weeks before the event.

Team DJ did a great job with communication, organization and promptness leading up to our wedding day. We had John as our DJ and he was fantastic. He met with us beforehand and made sure everything was set up perfectly. During the wedding he really helped to keep things going smoothly and on-time. He watched what got our guests out on the dance floor and tuned his playlist accordingly. We really could not have asked for a better DJ and are so grateful!

Todd is the man for your wedding mc. He is fun, professional, and provides amazing customer service. I booked TEAM DJ about a year in advance and he was still very much "present" throughout my planning process. He is the only person I would recommend for weddings.

We highly recommended Todd of Team DJ! Hiring a great DJ was one of my greatest concerns for our wedding reception because the DJ would be running the show. I wanted to ensure our guests had a great time and danced the night away. As a middle-aged couple, I’m sure most of our guests hadn’t been out dancing in years so I wanted them to feel comfortable and compelled to jump on the dance floor. Todd’s online song selection tool along with his advice made it very fun and easy to select our song list. Todd stuck to our play list and did an excellent job with the dedications and MC duties. Some DJs talk too much and want to be the center of attention. That’s certainly not Todd. He made sure our guests (and us) were the center of attention. We also hired his photo booth, which was tons of fun and our guests loved it! We owe it to Todd for making our wedding reception a blast! I also should mention that Todd was very professional, organized and prompt when working with us to plan the reception. I can’t say enough!

We had the best experience with TEAM DJ. We used TEAM DJ for our wedding reception, and had the time of our lives out on the dance floor. TEAM DJ offers online planning tools that make it so easy to plan for your big day! They have a bank of popular music that they use so that you can search and find the songs you want. It also helps with coming up with songs, and they offer example lists of song as well. My husband and I were able to create a custom list that gave our DJ an idea of the music we enjoy. This was awesome because we like so many different kinds of music from all different generations and genres. Our DJ did a great job using our list to come up with an entire night of music that was just right for us. Music is one of the details I think people remember about a wedding. People remember whether or not they spent a lot of time having a blast out on the dance floor, or if they spent a lot of time in their seats because the music was not all that great. I am so ecstatic that our guests are still raving about how much fun they had out on the dance floor and how great the music was. Some even said that they were having so much fun dancing to great music that they were disappointed to have to walk off to even use the restroom! This is the kind of night we wanted to have for our guests and we are so happy that TEAM DJ made that happen for us! Our DJ’s name was Kyle and he was so laid back and accommodating that I felt at ease trusting him to be in charge of the flow of our reception. Kyle did a phenomenal job choosing just the right music for all of our guests of all ages. Everyone had a blast! We have best memories to hold on to of celebrating on the dance floor with our guests on our special day! We highly recommend TEAM DJ, they are the best!

Setting up and taking down the equipment is included in the cost of the evening. Once we receive the deposit and signed contract you are booked and we will send you a receipt. The balance is due just two weeks before the event.
